Malta
Under Threat
On 10th June 1940 the fascist dictator of Italy, Benito Mussolini, threw in his lot with Hitler and declared war on Britain and France. With Britain threatened with imminent invasion, Mussolini has seized the opportunity to wrest the Mediterranean from an otherwise distracted British Empire. The Island of Malta is his first target.
Fighter Command is still woefully short of modern fighter aircraft, and is especially short of trained and experienced pilots. We are currently in the process of re-equipping after the French campaign. No.6 Operational Training Unit is working night and day to provide the pilots necessary for the Malta Fighter Force (MFF).
